Dual receiving antenna eliminates “grid” and “tangent” searching, resulting in significantly shorter search times for both novices and experts. While traditional, single-antenna beacons simply amplify the victim’s transmitted signal—then rely on a trained rescuer to interpret that signal by walking through a series of "grid search" patterns, the Tracker DTS digitizes the signal, determines the distance and direction it's coming from, then leads the rescuer directly to the buried person's transmitter.
Bright distance/direction LEDs (light emitting diodes) operate efficiently in the extreme cold and in nighttime conditions.
Digital distance and direction displays simplify searches for inexperienced beacon users.
